What Bubble?

We have GREAT NEWS!!  bubbleThe market has turned around!!  After months of negative talk and the so called “bubble” bursting, it is great to know that the slump is finally over and there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I hope this applies to markets all over and would like to hear how other real estate markets around the nation are doing.  But I can truly say that here in Miami, the change is obvious.

A property that we would show once or twice/week, we are now showing 2 and 3 times per day!  We are receiving as well as writing myesore offers – We are moving!!

It is normal for real estate to have its ups and downs; we were in such a high that it was time for a correction. There have been a ton of posts on the slow market so this is a positive note to let you know to expect your sales to pick up.  Start rolling up your work sleeves and expect a GREAT end of the year.  Some great bloggers here in AR have written beautiful analogies like comparing the real estate market to a pendulum, others have talked about looking forward to the last quarter of the year.  As for Rick and myself, I truly feel we will be ending this slow year with a bang!  I hope this applies to all of you as well.

There is not a bubble in all places. This is a media driven idea and where there was little speculation and less tha double didget growth in prices the markets are still fairly good. Outside of the East and West Coasts who has had a bubble.

Same thing here. Now I wonder if we talk too much about it the sellers will stop negotiating and raise their prices & then the buyers may back off again....

Eric - I totally agree with you.  The media has kept buyers waiting and they can't wait anymore.

Susan - I think our role is to be positive and to let the market normalize - hot a high and not a low - just a regular market, that's what we're hoping for

We don't have a bubble thing going on here, but it is still slower than we are used to. That said, I sold my recent investment property (a flip) in three days with dual offers.

Bubble??? What Bubble???...

There's a great line from the movie "Gumball Rally" where Franco, the Italian driver reaches up and rips the rearview mirror out from his expensive Ferrari and tosses it into the street. He looks to his partner and says, "Whatsa behind me, she's a no matter!"

Ines, Attitude is everything. With the right attitude you can survive in any market.

The bubble is all about the media needing a story. If they can't claim doom and gloom nobody will watch, or buy their magazines/newspapers.

No bubble here, but we are slower. That said our leads have increased 25% over the last 2 weeks so this might be a strong fall and winter season for us.

Kristal - Attitude is the key, you are so right.

Ken - I wish you the best of luck on this last quarter.  May business flourish thoughout the AR community!

Both of you are Pro's, I can always tell a "PRO". A pro can adapt to any situation that one is faced. If a bubble breaks, you just jump on another one, the ride is fine.

When dealt lemons. make lemonade When dealt oranges, make orange juice
